Geoscan is a group of Russian technological enterprises which specializes in the design and fabrication of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), avionics, wireless communication systems, sensors for UAS, and the engineering and assembly of unmanned systems and indoor navigation devices for STEM education and robotics competitions. Moreover, Geoscan's expertise extends to services in unmanned aerial photography, which include multispectral and thermal imaging, airborne laser scanning, geological exploration, and aerial displays.

Since 2021, Geoscan has been actively developing its space business. The company manufactures small satellites, CubeSat platforms, payloads for customer satellites, and also develops mission control software.
Geoscan Group’s records and achievements in space industry
  • Geoscan is one of the leading manufacturers of CubeSat platforms of both 3U and 16U form factors within the project Space-π. The satellites are operated from ground stations of the Geoscan mission control center.
  • Following the successful launch of Geoscan-Edelveis — the first private satellite from St. Petersburg — the platform Geoscan 3U has been flight-certified.
  • The first in Russia open-space testing of a CubeSat thruster, which was developed by Fakel Design Bureau.
  • The first in Russia school network of satellite data reception stations — SONICS (Network of Open Ground Research Stations) established with support from Geoscan and Innovation Promotion Foundation as part of the Space-π scientific and educational project.
  • The first Russian CubeSat to put other satellites into orbit — StratoSat TK-1. It was a client satellite constructed in collaboration with Stratonautica, from which six picosatellites were launched into space — four measuring 5×5×5 cm and two measuring 5×5×10 cm.
